The Fort Lauderdale Strikers have announced they will host an open tryout at historic Lockhart Stadium during the NASL’s break between the Spring and Fall seasons. Taking place on July 13, the tryout serves as an opportunity for soccer athletes from South Florida and beyond to prove their skills and potentially earn the opportunity to join the Strikers.
“With every open tryout we have, I’ve seen an improvement in the level of skill and talented players who state their case to be noticed by our staff,” said Strikers’ head coach Daryl Shore. “Players want the opportunity to be seen and given a chance. It’s our hope to give more players that chance to come to our camp and work to become a part of the Strikers’ organization.”
Due to high demand and limited availability, players will be asked to complete registration with payment to confirm their spot. Once all available spots have been filled, registration will be closed without notification. The tryouts are open to all players age 18 and older and the cost to take part in the open tryouts is $125 per player.
After completing registration, players will be sent a confirmation from the Strikers. All players will also receive two numbered shirts and two tickets to the Strikers’ first home match of the Fall season on Aug. 10 against Minnesota United FC.
Address: Lockhart Stadium, 1350 NW 55th Street, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309
