The staff at Gate City FC is pleased to host open tryouts for eligible college players, qualified free agents and talented amateur players that are seeking a opportunity. Each session will invite a selected number of players to participate in three days of intense training and scrimmages at the Gate City FC state-of-the-art training facility, in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Session I: February 15, 2014 9am-1pm Session II: February 16, 2014 9am-1pm
Tryouts will begin with registration, player meeting, drills and small-sided games
All training sessions will be held at the state-of-the-art training facility Smith Soccer Complex, in Greensboro, NC. With three full-lighted synthetic turf surfaces, that converts to 6 full 6v6 fields. The Smith Soccer Complex is one of the best training facilities in the league and is conveniently located to the Greensboro Airport.
Take advantage of the early registration discounted rate of $100 per session. Application and payment must be postmarked on or before January 1, 2014 for Session Session I & II. Registration fees increase to $125 after January 1, 2014. Registration fees are non-refundable and must be received before applications are considered. The combine fee does not include lodging, transportation or meals.
Combine sessions will take place in front of the Gate City FC professional coaching staff, led by Head Coach, Brian Japp. Japp will be joined by an array of technical staff and former professional players who have an extensive knowledge of professional soccer. The Gate City FC professional coaching staff is responsible for any final decisions regarding player contracts.
Attendance at the Gate City FC Try-out is one of the best ways to ensure that a player’s complete soccer resume and professional evaluation is in front of key decision makers.

The Gate City FC Player Combine accepts a limited number of players at each position to ensure that each player receives the maximum exposure to be effectively evaluated. If space is not available at your position, your registration fee will not be processed and you may opt to be placed on a waiting list. Refunds will not be granted for any other reason.
Applications are reviewed and processed on a first come, first served basis and the rosters are filled accordingly. The staff encourages early registration to improve your chances of being accepted. All applicants will be notified via email so please include a legible email address on your application.
