The Shreveport Lady Rafters FC soccer team begins its inaugural Women’s Premier Soccer League in the Spring of 2017. The club, an off-shoot of the highly successful NPSL men’s Rafters FC squad, is set to make a big splash on the Shreveport sports landscape. The Lady Rafters are likely to join the Southwest Conference which currently consists of teams from Texas and Oklahoma.
The Lady Rafters will hold an open tryout for players interested in being a part of the team from 3-6PM on Saturday November 5th at Freedom Fields (2810 E Texas St, Bossier City, LA 71111) next to First Baptist Bossier. Participants need to check in promptly at 3PM. Female players who will be 18 years or older on April 1, 2017 may register online at www.RaftersFC.com (here).

The Women’s Premier Soccer League is an independent highly competitive national league whose main focus is on the development of highly competitive premier women’s soccer teams.
The WPSL was formed in 1998. We are sanctioned by the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA), who is an affiliate of the United States Soccer Federation (USSF), the ruling body of soccer in the United States and FIFA the world’s ruling body for soccer.
