Nashville SC U-23 announced that it will hold tryouts for its inaugural season in the Premier Development League on Saturday, Feb. 4, and Saturday, March 4, at Natchez Trace Field at Vanderbilt University.
“We’ve had a lot of great interest in the club since the day it was announced, and we’re looking forward to seeing a big group come out,” NSC U-23 head coach Kyle Roelke said. “This will be the first step for some players on their path to professional club soccer in Nashville.”
The Feb. 4 tryouts will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Registration costs $75 and will remain open until Feb. 3 at this link. Players will need to provide their own cleats, shin guards and active-wear clothing. Photo ID will be required, and a parent will need to be present to sign a waiver for players under the age of 18.
Registration for the March 4 tryouts, which will run from 1 to 5 p.m., will open Feb. 5. Nashville SC U-23 will begin its PDL season in May.
PDL, widely regarded as the top amateur league in the United States, has been a proven pipeline to professional and international soccer. PDL alumni include a long list of current and former U.S. Men’s National Team players, including Geoff Cameron, Brad Guzan, DeAndre Yedlin and Graham Zusi.
