Samba FC San Antonio have announced the date for open tryouts for their 2019 UPSL Central Conference women’s team, in an effort to expand their roster and discover players for their UPSL women’s team. The date off the tryout is Saturday, November 03, 2018 and will be held at Wheatley Heights Sports Complex.
“We are looking for great local talent who can immediately roster our team for the 2019 Central Conference women’s UPSL team,” said Samba FC San Antonio Owner and General Manager, John Rexroat. “This gives local talented players an opportunity to be part of UPSL which is the number one semi pro development league in the nation”.
The Samba FC San Antonio technical staff will choose the most talented players for an immediate roster for the UPSL team. The team will play in the Texas Central Conference Division. The 2019 inaugural season will start in May and the team will practice and have home games at Wheatley Heights Sports Complex
Players who have played at the professional level should bring a copy of their CV at tryouts.

Walk Up Registrations:
9:00 AM – 10:00 AM
Participants must be female between 16 years and up. The tryout will consist of technical training and playing an 11v11 pick up games to impress the Samba FC coaching staff.
Players must register at walk-up between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM. No late registrations wil be accepted. The registration fee for the (1) open tryout event is $35 (per player) and must be paid in cash on the day of tryouts. No refunds will be issued once player has been registered.
In addition to the $35 registration fee. Tryout participants are responsible for all airfare, incurred travel costs, food and transportation to the tryout. Samba FC San Antonio will not help with Visa’s, or letters of invitation to obtain visas’s.
Players must come prepared for tryouts with their own soccer shoes, socks, shorts, gloves, shinguards or any other equipment related to their position. Each player must wear black shorts, black socks and white plain t-shirt. Goalkeepers need to bring the proper equipment for their position and wear either keeper pants or shorts.
All tryout players must fill out a registration form and sign a waiver. Players under the age of 18 years old must have a parent or legal guardian fill out registration and sign the waiver.
A scrimmage vest with a number will be given to all tryout registered players and must wear during the games. Teams will be constructed randomly.
