Saint Louis FC has opened tryout registration for the U-23 STLFC PDL team for the 2017 season. There are two sessions that attendees will have to participate in: February 25, 10am-12pm February 26, 1pm-3pm
The U-23 Saint Louis FC PDL squad serves as a way for the top amateur players in the country to continue their development during the summer months outside the collegiate environment. Saint Louis FC will be hosting tryouts for the U-23 STLFC PDL squad on February 25th and 26th.
“Having Saint Louis FC PDL provides an opportunity for those to continue to play before getting to the professional rank,” said STLFC U-23 Coach, Kevin Stoll. “We create a culture in a short time to give our players the best chance to be successful both on and off the field. I am really excited not only to see new faces in the tryouts but also to see old faces with all of our alumni coming back to try to play for their home town team.”
Players are expected to participate in BOTH sessions of the tryout. These sessions will be the only PDL tryouts for the 2017 season.
“Saint Louis FC PDL is an opportunity for players to place themselves in an environment that will help prepare them for next stages of their career,” said STLFC General Manager, Jeremy Alumbaugh. “It is a vital piece in the pyramid we have created with Saint Louis FC. It is even more exciting in 2017 as we have had an opportunity to actively plan for the season as opposed to 2016 when it was a last-minute opportunity. These tryouts will provide us an opportunity to finalize what we feel can be a very strong roster for the 2017 season.”
